All Wrapped Up

Aloha Darlings.
With summer fast approaching, winter wardrobes are being put away into the attic and summer being taken out. But one thing you shouldn't put away are your scarves that kept you warm.
A few years back while going through blogs, I had seen a simple wrap skirt being worn which needed no sewing!!!! I had actually forgotten about it until earlier this year and thought now might be a good time to start wearing it. Although they used plain jersey fabric which is good because of the stretch it will hug your body, I decided to use Pashmina shawls. =] I know most of the nepalese people have them. my mum had a cupboard full so I just took a few colours that I liked.  Its great for for a quick dress up, and for when you're headed to the beach!! Think it would look good on top of one piece or a bikini.
I've chosen just a simple White Tee and I have my necklace on which I thrifted (Blog post HERE), and i've worn my black bodycon skirt underneath but if you can go without it..GOOD FOR YOU!
But of course it doesn't just have to be for the sunny weather, you can wear it out with some tights or leggings and a nice pair of shoes.

If you don't have a pashmina shawl it's all good, just grab a normal scarf. It has to be wide enough to cover your backside LOL or just fabric which is about 2 meters long. And also you need a rubber band. That's about it!

 -How To-

Take your shawl and put it behind you while holding either ends at the front making sure you have eqal lengths.

Take one side first and wrap towards the opposite side.

Then take the other side and wrap it the other side. Make sure that the shawl is hugging your body and isn't too loose.
Adjust the shawl so that the front and back layer isn't twisted and is sitting flat. Then take both ends and wrap it round to the back.

Take your rubber band and tie the two ends together so that it is secure. You can hide the loose ends under the folds at a back to hide it but I just choose to leave it as it is. =]
And thats it! EASY PEASY!!!!

Good thing with pashminas is that some have such delicate beading on them and also beautiful patterns.  One which I loved is this pastel mint *on trend*  pashmina, it has small round mirror sequins dotted around the shawl and the beading on the edges adds more awesomeness! =]

A Womans Worth.

Aloha!
Yesterday me and my dad roamed around the local car boot sale and while roaming around, I found myself some bargains! And after that I just thought Id post up some of the other things I've picked up so far this year.

I was so very happy to spot this pearl necklace. And for a £1!! think I nearly shed a tear when the lady told me. Definitely my favorite buy of the day.

My second buy was this a nice choker sorta necklace, I don't know if I will actually wear it but I still like it. Was a £1 as well. Happy Me. :D

This was from the same lady so was a pound as well. Kind of reminded me of Nepal so I snapped it up. It has a blue stone/gem? I don't know what call it, is missing but its not that noticeable.

This this little baby was 10p! SO HAPPY! Gems missing but I DON'T CARE! It was soo pretty, caught my eye straight away. I guess its not the most expensive thing in the world and the stone and gems aren't real but its beautiful. The middle blue thing made me feel like I'm looking into another world.

This ring was a £1 one of the more simpler ones I found on a sellers table. Something that actually fit my finger so I HAD to buy. My other rings I usually have to hold with smaller rings, which I don't mind but it gets annoying sometimes.

And heres a necklace I got in Portebello Market, forgot the price but it was okay I guess. I used it for my vintage project in Uni.

This isn't something I bought but just wanted to post it up. =D It was given to be by one of my best friends who bought it back from her trip to Gambia! So thank you very much to her! <3

And this is a pair of clip-ons I bought earlier a few months back hunting around charity shops. So lovely! Love it! Think it was £1.50 not sure.

Bought this on the same day. It caught my because of the writing carved into it. Thought it was nepali at first but found out it DEFO WASN'T but still liked it. And the bells jingles away every step I take Lol. Feel like a puppy but still its a pretty unique thing which you won't find anywhere. My friends thought it could be cursed or what not. ¬ ¬. Made me laugh tbh.

This is just an over the knuckle ring that I made with some wire I found at uni. Quick and easy. Found it quite nice.

So bought some more wires! =D Bought some in gold this time and for 99p I couldn't resist. Will be making more of the rings soon.

Now lastly Happy Nepalese New Year 2069!! Its a bit late but still. I posted this picture up last night. OOTN. My mums  deep orange saree which I paired with a bustier I made for one my collections. Cheeky I know, but it was just sitting in my closet so I thought WHY NOT!?!? Also I wore the pearl necklace with it. I didn't want the usual blingy stuff. So I thought nice and simple, something different. And the ring as well. =] My mum in the background and the room a mess.

Happy Nepali New Year 2069 Again!!
I'm still trying to figure these blog template out!!! ¬ ¬ . Is it just me?!

Sundays. Collection.

Just a Quick Post Today. I know you can wear a top about 5 different ways or even more. I've seen loads of people wear it ways I never thought possible, even sweater and what nots. So was hunting round the house and found this Jacket, its a bit big for me and it just didn't look right on me, sadly. So remembering the tops idea decided to put it on backwards, the back I didn't like.

I preferred the front as it reminded me of a sweatshirt. Would love to cut up it and something else with the back but Im guessing my mother would not be pleased.

Did a quick DIY after I saw some pictures. Found a top which I haven't really worn, and with a few quick snips...TADA! I think it looks okay. Can't wait to wear it throughout the summer!

And lastly quick snap of my nails, that is supposed to be a skull btw, looks like a clown but I still like it.

Update on Paper Patterns Part 1

This is just as the title states, an update. I found some sheer fabric in my closet so decided to get started on the gown thing as a trial. Here are a few images.

This is how it is for the time being.

Mermaid Hair.

Aloha Loveys.

I recently tried the whole 'Ombre Hair' Thing. Wanted it Silver but didn't go to plan ¬ ¬....BUT I found a new way to spice it up. Instead of killing my hair with more chemicals I used food colouring to mix up a nice teal colour which I LOVE. Research wise people have used normal conditioner and food colouring mixed together, which I tried but DID NOT WORK..for me that is, it might work with other peoples hair though so don't take my word for it. Got annoyed after a few tries and ended up just putting the colour straight on. Its not even as it is just staining, the lighter hair the better the colour stains. As you can see in the pictures my left side has more colour than the left, sad but im still happy with the results. It does create a big mess in the bathroom after you use it but you get beautiful hair! =) Reminds me of mermaid hair. =D
Anyways decided on taking a few pictures, has been a while since I played about with my camera so yeaaaah....
And I got carried away while editing pictures as well. So please just appreciate! =]

Finally Im happy I am actually updating! o.O
Leaving you with my Chub Chub Face.

Round Up The Skirt

A few weeks back I purchased  this leather skirt from a charity shop for an amazing £2! Was and Am still SUPER happy with it!

Here it is! Since I bought it ive worn it a few times but I grew bored of the boring hem line...and a few days back I found this image! It was actually focused on the paint splattered outfits and I was more mesmerized by that SKIRT! So thought Id try it out.
Here is what happened. Since it was pure leather I could just cut without having to worry about fraying which I was pleased about. I didn't want to over do the scoop so I only took about an inch off the front. Looks a bit rough and I'm not sure if I like the fitting.

Side view looks a bit better I think. I'll see after I wear it a few times then Ill probably start stitching again.

AHH Just found blog again:

Now just a few random things:
:B

Saw this and I WANT. Reminded me of THIS! Its not the same but how cute is it!!? And it was on saleee! :'( And I am BROKE even for the sale.

And while looking through stuff in H&M found these golden bracelets, which you can totally turn into ankle cuffs and it was only £3.99. So its on my lists of TO BUY. Don't exactly know when that will be but I know its soon!
